Question from Shirley You.
How the leader “properly shows love” needs to be based on the nature of unconditional or genuine love. It can’t be pretended. It has to be genuine.
1st the leader has to have genuine love for themselves. I do not mean egocentric-love that gives a false sense of self importance. Genuine love requires:
* full acceptance of themselves exactly as they are without judgement
* a deep appreciation and respect for themselves
* compassion and kindness for themselves
* a love of truth and an active willingness to seek to understand
* them understanding that they are unique yet part of life
* an appreciation that all life is of value and to be respected
2nd. when the leader has this (as above) then the leader is able to genuinely show these same qualities to his/her employees.
i.e. full acceptance of them without judgement; appreciation of them; compassion and kindness towards them; will tell them the truth and listen to their truth;respect them based on appreciating their uniqueness and that they are human of no more and no less value than themselves.
