When Heart and Mind Disagree May 14, 2007

There has to be balance in everything but when your heart and mind are talking different things what happens?
Your energy is weakened. You are split. You are not being true to yourself. You are out of your power.

Why do people try to become someone else in order to succeed? And even employers are trying to force employees into a single form style. In applications everybody’s “lying” about the same things, forcing themselves into being “open” and “positive”, because they think that’s what they have to be. Large companies take advantage of the desperate.
Because they are not clear about their own unique value. Be true to who you are. That is when you are in your power. Being like someone else puts you outside your power.
Being Good Enough February 22, 2007

If my first plan with my studies does not get me where I feel happy then my hobbies give me a back up plan and it is never too late to change my plan. I have things that I love but I feel none of them are something I am good enough in to make it into my future. What should I do now?
You are good enough by just being you. Your future is now. Be your best self now. Don’t wait. All your life was a preparation of this moment. It’s not about hobbies. It is about expressing the best of you – your highest value.
Giving and Receiving Value February 7, 2007

What is the incentive for an individual to implement value style instead of taking value-style?
You give two choices: Creating (add) value and taking value. Both work together.
If one only takes value and does not give value, that is robbery, exploitation or charity. Usually a short term, non-sustainable option.
If one only creates or adds value and does not take or receive value one dies. A short term, non-sustainable option. The optimum is to:
- Create the highest value you can
- Receive the highest value you need
The way to create your highest value is to make full use of all your value (i.e. who you are). The more value you create for others, the more value others wish to give to you.
How to Find Your Value January 31, 2007

In response to a comment on If Everybody Did What They Wanted.
How do we learn to see our strengths? Find our personal value?…what makes us unique?
Why this can be difficult:
…because people have learned to value others for what they have learned; how they behave; what they have; what they have done. Collectively we have institutionalised this.
With education…you are ignorant; we will teach you; then test you to see if you can recall what we have taught; give you our certificate to say you are no longer ignorant i.e. you are qualified. Because there is always another level of qualification we can believe we are not good enough (of value) until we have reached that “other” level…and the next.
With families…if you do as we say (i.e. behave…be a “good” girl or “good” boy) you will be valued.
With religion…you are unworthy (no worth = no value) do what we say and you will become worthy and you will find out after you die. Those you leave behind will get your certificate. Your death certificate.
With work…you are valued according to the perceived contribution you make to achieving the organisation’s goals. No contribution = no value.
The financial world…your value is a function of the value of the material assets (and financial instuments) you own. If you have nothing of value = you are of no value.
The world of law…if you keep to the law you have zero value; if you break the law you have minus value and are defined by others by the crime you have commited e.g. you are a thief; a killer.
Who benefits? How do they benefit?
Diversity and Knowing Yourself January 30, 2007

How to find my own way which best matches with myself in this current diversity-challenging environment and achieve my goals?
Know yourself. Be clear about your goals and why you have set up those goals. Know your:
- Natural strengths/gifts/knowing/beliefs
- Unique values
- What you like and dislike and why
The greater the diversity and rate of change the greater the opportunities for you to do what you want.
To identify the “right” opportunities for you, you have to be very clear about your value and the value you wish to create. When you are clear, you can then match any situation against this and discover if it is an opportunity that suits you.
