			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Culture plays a very important role. It profoundly  influences how we think, relate and express ourselves. However, culture is not who we are.   Business interactions are people interactions. To interact well requires people to understand and to appreciate one another. The quality of their relating will, in large measure, dictate the quality of their business interactions. Strong people relations = strong business relations. The purpose of business is for the mutual benefit of the parties involved. The more those parties can meaningfully relate, the greater the possibility of the parties creating the benefit they want.</p>

<p>Great question!</p>
<p>Yes, they can. What can bring that about is what can bring it about on an individual level  IE a major crises.  What is required for an individual to change&#8230;. hopefully to evolve&#8230;. is what is required for a group of individuals, an organisation to change, evolve.</p>
<p>Keys:</p>
<p>a.   people need to see the reason for changing and the benefits from doing so</p>
<p>b.       &#8220;             &#8220;         &#8220;     &#8220;      &#8220;   costs or negative effects of not changing.</p>
<p>The greater the gap between a. and b., they greater the motivation to change.</p>
<p>c.   have the people who are willing to change, co-design and take the steps needed</p>
<p>d.   let there be many small and quick &#8220;successes&#8221; in the change process that all see. Then others can see that the change is possible and positive. Celebrate these successes for all to see.</p>
<p>e.    the &#8220;leaders&#8221; have to live the change.  Walk the talk. Make the change themselves.</p>
<p>Observations by business consults:  5%-10% are active change initiators;  5%-10% would prefer to die or leave the organisation than change. The rest follow.</p>
<p>Where radical change is required and people are firmly entrenched in not changing, it can be more expedient to fold up the organisation and start another with people who are committed to the change.</p>
<p>All organizations and those in them need to be dedicated and skilled at evolving. Such organizations will face great difficulty in surviving if they are not. This &#8220;dedication and skill&#8221; is a key organization resource. It&#8217;s not on a balance sheet&#8230;. the most valuable resources of an organization aren&#8217;t&#8230; but it is of vital importance, individually and collectively.</p>
<p>Keep up your own evolutionary changes. Every day decide what you will do next to become more of who you are capable of being.  That&#8217;s your prime tasks as a human.  The more you evolve, the more value you are able to be to others. You win and we all win.</p>

<p>b.  fully accept your potential friend.  See and treat that person as ALREADY being your friend.</p>
<p>c.   find out what you have in common  eg Values; interests.</p>
<p>d.  take a positive interest in the other person.</p>
<p>Do not, do not, do not be needy for the friendship of the other person.   Be fully happy and complete in who you are and you will automatically attract to you those people who are the right people for you.</p>

<p>c.  deeply imagine (feel it in your heart; body; mind) that you have a very positive relating with the person interviewing you. Practice this just before going to sleep and on waking because your sub-conscious is very open at these times. See yourselves connecting, emotionally, mentally and inspirationally.</p>

<p>It is a fascinating story about a man who was too old, without the required education and without the &#8220;right&#8221; previous work experience who &#8220;got the job&#8221; and the other applicants were not even interviewed.</p>
<p>e.  Note: It is not about the job. It is what extra you bring to the job.    What is the unique or special value you can create for your would-be employer? What is their big problem you can solve? How can you take their organisation forward?  You need to do your &#8220;home work&#8221;.  Study the company. Talk to their employees and former employees. Talk to their customers and suppliers. Do your research. Most other applicants won&#8217;t bother. Know their vision, mission, values and strategy.  Be very sure that this &#8220;is the right company for you&#8221;.  Once you have decided that it is, then you decide that the job is yours and the interview you will have is for you to find out more about the company and job and for them to confirm YOUR choice.</p>
<p>Once you are clear about the &#8220;unique or special value&#8221; you will create, prepare a one page presentation setting out what that is (just as you heard in my Youtube video) and present it at the interview.  I guarantee THIS WILL SET YOU APART FROM THE OTHER CANDIDATES.  Their thinking and approach is they want something (a job) from the company. That automatically places them in a weak position. You come with the approach that you have something of value to bring to the company.</p>

<p>The key is to follow what gives you joy. Here are some steps.<br />
Identify the directions that would enable you to develop as you naturally want to be.<br />
Write each direction on a separate piece of paper. Read them before going to sleep.<br />
In the morning, spread the sheets of paper before you. Sit and relax.<br />
Look at each direction in turn.<br />
Shut your eyes. Go into your heart. Ask &#8220;does this give me joy?&#8221;<br />
Feel if you experience joy in your heart in response to your question.<br />
If you wish, note on the paper, the level of joy out of ten  eg 5/10<br />
Do this for each direction.<br />
Select the ones which have caused you to feel the greatest levels of joy.<br />
With these, do the same exercise again. Select the one or ones that cause you to feel<br />
the greatest joy.<br />
You now have the direction or directions that naturally best suit you.</p>
<p>Now ask yourself, what is required of you to develop yourself to be able to proceed<br />
in that direction or directions.<br />
Different directions require you to develop in different ways.</p>
<p>You can also ask yourself &#8220;what value do I most enjoy creating in my life?&#8221; and follow the steps above. Once you have your answer focus on creating the value you most enjoy creating.<br />
eg. painting; helping people find their passion; writing inspiring children&#8217;s stories.</p>
<p>The key is finding what gives you joy and doing it.<br />
Once you align what gives you joy, with what you enjoy thinking about, with what<br />
motivates you and with what you most like doing, you are in integrity.<br />
ie you are in your full power.<br />
You then naturally attract to yourself the ideas, the people, the circumstances<br />
that enable you move in the direction you want to go and, as you do this, you will develop.</p>

<p>How the leader &#8220;properly shows love&#8221; needs to be based on the nature of unconditional or genuine love. It can&#8217;t be pretended. It has to be genuine.</p>
<p>1st  the leader has to have genuine love for themselves. I do not mean egocentric-love that gives a false sense of self importance. Genuine love requires:</p>
<p>*   full acceptance of themselves exactly as they are without judgement</p>
<p>*   a deep appreciation and respect for themselves</p>
<p>*   compassion and kindness for themselves</p>
<p>*   a love of truth and an active willingness to seek to understand</p>
<p>*   them understanding that they are unique yet part of life</p>
<p>*   an appreciation that all life is of value and to be respected</p>
<p>2nd. when the leader has this (as above) then the leader is able to genuinely show these same qualities to his/her employees.</p>
<p>i.e. full acceptance of them without judgement; appreciation of them; compassion and kindness towards them; will tell them the truth and listen to their truth;respect them based on appreciating their uniqueness and that they are human of no more and no less value than themselves.</p>

<p>Secondly, the relationship has to work both ways,,, it has to be good for you and good for the company. Your responsibility is to have the relationship work for you and the company. If it is not working well for both, the relationship is likely to be un-sustainable.</p>
<p>Thirdly, you need to be doing what you love&#8230;.what enables you to express the best of yourself and gives you joy.  If you not able to do this,  find work within the company where you can.</p>
<p>Forthly, you have to be growing. You were born to evolve&#8230;.physically, mentally, emotionally and inspirationally. You need to be able to do that in the company. If not, you will become increasingly dissatisfied with yourself and the  company. </p>
